_Bayonets
A bayonet is a simple knife that the soldiers would use from up close combat. This weapons was put on the front of a gun and could not be used until the gun was fired and then it would be used to stab the enemy . This weapon was big to carry around during World War I. Especially with the uniform that the soldiers had to wear. This would hurt the person if they got stabbed with a Bayonets.
_Flamethrowers
Flamethrowers were used to shoot flames at the enemy. This weapon caused huge grass fires and fires to make the enemies run away or even die. This weapon weighed 25.5 kg. It was very heavy and hard to carry in action in which it made it hard to run and defend yourself. The uniform was the only thing that was light on your body, if you were holding this weapon.
Grenades
Grenades were little bombs. You used these to throw at the enemy and you could hold in your hand before they explored. This weapon was able to fit in the pocket of the soldiers uniform. This little grenades made big explosions. From one explosion over five men can be killed in the area zone. This was a good weapon to keep on soldiers just in case of an attack.
Machine Guns
Machine Guns were used to fire hundreds of bullets at the enemy in minutes. This weapon was heavy to carry and had to be put in a spot that would not let the weapon drop. If you had to work on this weapon you had to wear gloves to protect yourself just in case the machine goes to fast.
Pistol
A pistol was a handheld gun used in combat. Unlike machine guns it only shoot one bullet at a time. This weapon was used for shooting. It is easy to hold if you have a gun case around your belt, other wise you would have to hold it when you are at war. This weapons was manly used when you were close in combat.
Poison Gas
Poison Gas was used to kill the enemy in seconds. As soon as the enemy smelled Phosgene it caused the victim to violently cough and choke and they would die within seconds.Mustard gas, an almost odorless chemical, was distinguished by the serious blisters it caused both internally and externally, brought on several hours after exposure. These gases where often used in bombs and thrown in trenches.
Rifles
A rifle was another weapon used by soldiers that was more accurate than a machine gun and the bullets could got further than a pistol. A rifle could shot further than one hundred feet. this weapon could just be strapped around the back of you. This weapon would back fire on you. This weapon was good to carry but it took time to reload after every shot.
Tanks
Tanks were large vehicle weapons. they fired big bullets and were made out of strong built proof metal. These weapons wouldn't blow up unless you shot them at the tires were the machines are weakest. this machine could fit up to five men. This machine has a tight space, so you had to wear thinner clothes.
Trench Mortars
A trench mortar was fired from and placed in a trench. the mortar bullets were like small bombs and could be shot very far. this machine was powerful but small. this weapon was heavy because it was made out of a metal. once you put the bombs in you had to run out of the trench just in case something went wrong. you could not carry this by yourself. it was good to use in combat but not good to use it as a gun.
